Worship Services

Traditional Worship

This service begins at 11:00 a.m.

The Traditional Worship Service combines all of the elements of traditional Methodist worship, including, but not limited to, doxologies, scripture lessons, children’s moments, instrumental preludes and postludes on the two manual, 33 rank pipe organ, liturgies and robust congregational singing of traditional hymns.  Biblical preaching and use of the Lectionary form the focus of this service.  The Adult Choir sings weekly and additional musical enhancements make this well-attended service an inspirational worship experience at CUMC.

Contemporary Worship

This service begins at 9:01 a.m.

In the Contemporary Worship Experience, the use of contemporary musical literature is combined with worship media and biblical preaching.  This service provides a casual atmosphere and is geared to invite first-time guests and church-seekers with a youthful, contemporary desire for worship. Extensive use of the visual arts, as well as leadership from the Vocal Praise Team and Praise Band’s energetic guitars, drums, keyboards and other instruments, comprise the flavor of this worship service.
